This car has been in the family for 30 years, but needs a new loving home to get back to a daily driver. The car shows well with its factory 16 inch aluminum Hydra wheels, in good cosmetic shape, along with Michelin winter tires. The car has had the following work done in the past few years: new ignition power stage (amplifier), fuel injection RFI relay, new distributor (including cap, rotor and Hall sensor), new front rotors, front hubs, front ABS tone wheels, front wheel bearings, front brake pads and a new heater blower motor. It has a relatively new Volvo factory exhaust (rear section).
The cabin has a water leak that has yet to be traced down. The car should be kept under cover until this is resolved to keep the interior dry.
The starter motor solenoid is weak and won’t reliably engage the starter when soaked at high temperature, but recovers when cool.
The body has some pockets of rust in areas.
The engine starts and runs but there is currently what looks like a fuel or ignition problem. Consider it not driveable until that is resolved.
The air conditioning at least needs recharging. The system was last charged about 2015 and was working well until about 2022.
There is a slow coolant leak that looks to be originating between the coolant pump and head (the mushroom seal). This will need attention.
